Frequently asked questions.

  • Our main lot is located right at the trailhead at the end of School Street. If that fills up, we’ve got overflow parking available courtesy of our generous neighbors, marked with a sign on the left as you approach the top of School Street. Additional parking is available at Remich Park or Littleton High School, both just a short distance to School Street and the trailhead.

For those looking to access the backside of PRKR MTN, we’ve got you covered with a lot located on Broomstick Hill Road, generously provided by the Boy Scout Camp. Dogs MUST remain on leash in the parking lot on Broomstick Hill Rd.

Please note, overnight camping is not permitted in any of our parking areas. Thanks for helping us keep things safe and accessible for all trail users!

  • We love dogs! Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome to enjoy the trails with you. Please keep your dog under control and make sure they’re always respectful of other trail users. As a reminder, we ask that you clean up after your pup and keep them on a leash if necessary for safety or to avoid conflicts with other animals or people.

Please note that dogs MUST be on leash in the Broomstick Hill Rd. parking lot.

Keep in mind, you may encounter wildlife. We recommend wearing orange during hunting season as well. Let’s keep the trails fun and safe for everyone — pups included!

  • The “new school” named trails close during hunting season at request of the landowner - please respect this closure. The remainder of the network is open during hunting season.

During the winter, we have boot friendly loops that are accessible regardless of the conditions. See below for additional information.

Otherwise, the trails are always open, year-round, for everyone to enjoy.

  • During the winter, we groom many of our trails. To help preserve the groomed trails, we kindly ask users to check their impact: if you’re sinking into the snow, please use snowshoes or lower your tire pressure to protect the surface or enjoy our boot friendly loops.

For those exploring on wet days or without snowshoes, we maintain specific boot-friendly loops that are groomed more frequently to accommodate heavy winter traffic. These loops are perfect for bare boots, providing a reliable way to enjoy the trails no matter the weather or conditions.

Our goal is to create a shared outdoor space where everyone can connect with nature while respecting the trail and one another. Thank you for helping us keep PRKR MTN Trails a welcoming and sustainable community resource!

  • We update our Facebook page with grooming reports.
